During the past five months, students at the John Oliver High School volunteered to participate in an after-school project of designing ten gorgeous murals under the hired instruction of Danvic Briones, a professional artist from the South Vancouver Neighbourhood House. The Murals will grace the school fence along Fraser Street.
The community unveiling will take place at the corner of Fraser Street & 43rd Ave on Friday, June 10th at 3:30 pm. Students, teachers, Fraser Street merchants, and the school administration will be in attendance and all community members are invited.
There will be several speakers, including students that volunteered, giving interesting insights about the process of creating the murals and how the selected theme of Diversity in Harmony inspired their art. So make sure you don’t miss this community event!
